Detailed Description
Good warmup to get lots of passes in and warm up chasers' hands.
Have five lineups of players arranged in a star. The player that starts with the ball absolutely needs one person behind them, the other lines can have one or more players in them.
Each pass skips one player in a clockwise way, and the player follows their pass, running to join the line they passed to.
You can vary this drill by switching the direction halfway through. You can also vary the distances and the types of pass (overhand vs push).
If players are less familiar with each other, encourage saying the name of the player you are passing to.
Coaching points:
- Focus on good throws with proper form.
- Worry about catching before throwing, and throwing before running.
- Every time you pass you should be moving to a new position.
- Aim for the receiver's chest.
